Private 5G & LTE Design

Purpose-built cellular networks — on CBRS or licensed spectrum — designed around your traffic, your device density, and your existing infrastructure, not a carrier's coverage map.

What It Is

A private cellular network is a dedicated LTE or 5G network — typically running on CBRS spectrum — built to cover a single facility or campus. Unlike Wi-Fi, it's designed for deterministic performance across large areas, high device counts, and mobile equipment moving continuously through a space.

When You Need It

Private cellular is the right call when Wi-Fi handoff between access points is causing dropped sessions for moving equipment (AGVs, forklifts, cranes), when device density on the floor exceeds what your current Wi-Fi design can handle, or when a site has no reliable public carrier signal and mobile connectivity is operationally critical.

Our Methodology

1. RF and site survey. We measure existing coverage, identify interference sources, and map the physical environment that will shape the design — racking height, machinery, building materials.

2. Capacity and traffic modeling. We model expected device count, data patterns, and mobility to size the network correctly the first time.

3. Spectrum coordination. For CBRS deployments, we handle SAS (Spectrum Access System) registration and coordination.

4. Vendor-neutral hardware selection. We evaluate radio and core network vendors against your requirements and budget — we don't carry a house brand.

5. Commissioning support. We're on site through cutover, validating performance against the design before we call it done.

Typical Deliverables

  • RF propagation study and coverage heat maps
  • Capacity and traffic model with growth headroom
  • CBRS/SAS spectrum coordination filing support
  • Vendor-neutral hardware evaluation and bill of materials
  • Design package ready for procurement and installation
  • Post-deployment validation report
Representative Outcome

Automotive parts plant migrates its entire AGV fleet to private LTE

A 640,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant was losing production time to Wi-Fi handoff failures on its automated guided vehicle fleet. Read how a private CBRS network changed that.
